WIDER OUTREACH |

COMMUNITY AND WIDER SUPPORT:
Donations: Retiring offering assists various works: a safe water project overseas; the Bendigo school chaplaincy work and other identified needs. Weekly in-kind donations go to Uniting for its emergency relief.
Multi-cultural fellowship:
though our Bendigo-wide meal/monthly gathering where participants share the experience of migration (through marriage, employment, study, persecution, or better opportunities) and know the complexities of settlement and global ties. The Karen community uses our hall on Saturdays for the retention of their culture and language through weekly groups.
Refugee advocacy and support: Members are locally active in Rural Australians for Refugees, Amnesty International and Grandmothers for Refugees as well as other community clubs and groups.
Ecumenical Links: The local Quaker meeting is held at Chum Street on second Wednesday evening once a month.
EMERGENCY RELIEF:
Kangaroo Flat Uniting Emergency Relief at the corner of Church and Camp streets is open on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 09.30 am to 1.00 pm.
