Kangaroo Flat Uniting Church, is the largest of the three congregations in Bendigo South Uniting Church Cluster. Situated at the corner of Church & Camp Streets, the existing Church was built in the late 1870’s as the Wesleyan Methodist Church Kangaroo Flat. With the formation of the Uniting Church in Australia on June 22nd, 1977, the Kangaroo Flat Methodist and Presbyterian Churches combined to become the Kangaroo Flat Uniting Church, operating and continuing to Worship in the former Methodist Church.

Kangaroo Flat Uniting is a friendly, welcoming Church which holds a Worship Service at 9:30am each Sunday with an informal ‘cuppa & chat’ afterwards. A ‘Fellowship Hour’ is held bi-monthly, immediately after Worship, providing an enjoyable opportunity for our members to get to know each other and the minister. While an Adult Fellowship Group (UCAF); and Getaways (for younger women) meet monthly.

Our congregation has a strong and dedicated community volunteer network. We seek to witness to, and support the wider community through the programs and services we provide, such as - Uniting Emergency Relief (see OUTREACH); weekly Craft Group and our Quarterly (end of season) Community MARKETS. Our Church complex is used constantly throughout the week by Church Groups, and monthly by other community groups, like the CWA; Bendigo Genealogy and Bendigo Morris Club and Red Hats.

Kangaroo Flat Uniting has a strong music tradition, ‘KANGFLUCA’, having over the years produced and performed several original Christian Musicals, including ‘No Room in the Inn’; ‘The 4th Wise Man’; ‘The Easter Story’ and ‘The Shepherd King’.
